Admission to the University
Israeli citizens, who graduated from Israeli high school and have in their School Leave Certificate (Teudat Bagrut) marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or at least two out of these three subjects) can be admitted into the 1st year in the University without entrance examinations.
Those who graduated with humanitarian bias in their Teudat Bagrut (did not study Physics, Chemistry and Biology) can start studies on the following conditions:
- In the event of successfully passing tests in Physics, Chemistry and Biology - in the 1st year;
- In the event of not passing the above tests - in the 0 (preparatory) year, with consecutive transfer into the 1st year of studies;
- Without tests - on student's wishes - in the preparatory year, with consecutive transfer into the 1st year of studies.
- Subjects studied during the preparatory year: Physics, Chemistry, Biology; Romanian or Russian Language (optional).
Israeli citizens who graduated from secondary schools in former Soviet republics and have good grades in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their certificates are admitted into the 1st year of studies without entrance examinations.
Students can be admitted into the following Faculties:
- General Medicine (with 50 different areas of specialization possible) - 6-year course (not including the preparatory year);
- Stomatological - 5-year course (not including the preparatory year);
- Pharmaceutical - 5-year course (not including the preparatory year);
Studies in choice of three languages:
- English
- Russian
- Romanian.
Israeli citizens desiring to study in Russian or Romanian but having no knowledge of these languages, begin from the preparatory year, where they study the language of their choice and also Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Israeli citizen desiring to study in English begin their studies from the 1st year, provided they have Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the Teudat Bagrut (or at least two out of these three subjects) or, in the absence of these subjects in the Teudat Bagrut, after successfully passing the tests.
