Admission requirements to postgraduate study
The State Medical and Pharmaceutical University "Nicolae Testemitanu" invites to postgraduate study citizens of foreign countries who can be enrolled in accordance with:
The Law of Education of the Republic of Moldova on the background of:
International Conventions which the Republic of Moldova adhered;
Agreements between states, governments and ministries, as well as agreements between educational institutions authorized in the established way;
Contracts concluded with the SMPhU "Nicolae Testemitanu".
Protocols of collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and other countries.
To enroll to postgraduate study to University, applicants from abroad must submit the following certificates:
• Diploma of Higher Medical Education with transcript or Master's Degree Diploma or
other equivalent documents. According to the decision of Ministry of Health and Social
Protection foreign citizens may be admitted in residency during 10 years after their
graduation from a University only. A certificate of uninterrupted activity in a medical
establishment is required.
• Declaration of value of academic certificates issued by the Ministry of Education of the
country of origin, which should contain:
• Confirmation of authentication of academic certificates
• The duration of studies
• Academic and professional value of certificate
• Description of grading scale.
• Application form addressed to the Rector of the SMPhU "Nicolae Testemitanu".
• Copy of the passport valid for not less then one year from entry date on the territory of
the Republic of Moldova.
• Notarized copy of the birth certificate translated into Romanian, Russian or English.
• Medical certificate, confirming the absence of medical contraindications and negative
result of HIV/AIDS test.
• 10 matte photos 4x6 cm.
• Bank certificate confirming available bank account for the whole period of study (the
amount of money on the bank account must cover all the expenses, including tuition fee,
legalization fee for temporary residence in the Republic of Moldova, accommodation
and living expenses).
• Criminal record (police certificate)
• Curriculum vitae, list of scientific publications and two letters of recommendation from
the teachers or research workers who know applicant's activity (for PhD fellowship).
