Faculty of Continuing Medical & Pharmaceutical Education

 The Faculty of Continuing Medical & Pharmaceutical Education was founded on the 2nd of April 1962 with the prerogative to train for the system of public health from the Republic of Moldova doctors of professional level that would render services of medical assistance at the level of contemporary exigencies.

It is worth mentioning, that since the moment of foundation, at this faculty, over 63000 students improved their qualifications.

This faculty has a competent teaching-didactic potential. At present, about 200 collaborators, inclusively 8 members of the Science Academy from the Republic of Moldova, 47 PhD- university professors, 120 doctors in medicine inclusively 93 PhD lecturers activate at present in the process of education. The staff comprises laureates of the State Award from the Republic of Moldova, 2 Inventors Emeritus of the Republic of Moldova, 28 owners of different institutions and services of Public Health, main specialists of the HM of the RM and presidents of the Commissions of doctors attestation.

At present, the faculty offers to medical students over 400 training courses with a duration from 0,5 to one months, which are permanently updated according to the latest achievements of the modern medicine. At the faculty, the process of Continuous Education is held within the university clinic basis, placed in the best republican and municipal medical sanitary institutions:

The republican Clinic Hospital, the Institute of Scientific researches in the field of Mother and Child Protection Field, the Oncological Institute, the Cardio logical Institute, the National Scientific- Practical Center of Preventive Medicine, the Republican Clinic Hospital of Psychiatry, the Republican Clinic Hospital for children "Emilian Cotaga", The Republican Clinic Hospital of Orthopedics and Trauma, the Republican Dispensary of Dermatovenerology, the Municipal Clinic Hospital of Medical Emergency, the Municipal Clinic Hospital "Sf.Treime", the Clinic Hospital of infectious diseases, the Republican Clinic Hospital of Infectious Diseases at children, the Clinic Hospital of the State Chancellor s Office from the Republic of Moldova, the Republican Center of Medical Diagnosis and other municipal hospitals and policlinics. Thus, the faculty of Doctors Training has 71 rooms for studies and 32 labs.

A special attention at this faculty is paid to scientific and publishing activity. The achievements of the scientific researches and those to be implemented were elucidated in 36 manuals, 152 monographs, 5035 scientific works, inclusively 1433 articles and summarized stories in medical collections, in republican and foreign press. There were published over 100 didactic elaborations and instructions.

Over the last 10 years there were implemented in practice 65 inventions and 86 innovations. Under the scientific aegis of the scholars of the faculty there were passed 29 thesis of PhD and 141 thesis of doctor in medicine.
